Rain 

The poet was wrong in his song
It wasn't only the sun which blinded
or capsized a heart

There was the rain
on a sombre day
that heavied hearts

Sprinkling sadness 
in the tears that flowed 
like rain

One morning, as I drove on a lonely stretch
The rain did encumber
blinding the vision ahead
O that sadness be not part of my voyage
that day
Or never be I blinded
to the rain
that wished to 
water my pain.

I dreamed of roses, The picture in my mind, So exquisite, That it creates, An illusion. This illusion; It is found somewhere deep within, In pockets that hold love, So intricately, So intensely, It creates, An illusion. This illusion; It might overshadow thoughts in mind, Its silent yearning, Becomes a part of you, It yearns for a name, It yearns for some recognition, It yearns for a space, in your heart. This illusion; Might shatter, Its glass like figurine, As fragile as love. The Palette's rendezvous with nature

Time does stand still as his brushstrokes capture the scene outside his room. The artist and canvas are made complete. As the ocean's water includes the skies above in cascades of blue, what wonder the beauty of summer brings to a land of sunshine, warmth, and spring.  Serenity and tranquillity, they behold his artistic dreams. Ah, I wish to hear the peace he hopes to pronounce in his painting. It would be a wisdom formed by brushstrokes - in the waters that stay calm through the quietened tides, as if to say, "My waters are calm today to perfect the day.
