Traces of Time

time,old,clock,clockwork

Time,
I kept time once,
When it was day,
When there was light,
No, not the Sun's ray...

Somewhere in a timeless zone,
Where I was ignited by the rays,
Of silence,
Of beauty,
Of the pristine clear waters,
That whispered,
through my dark,
And cleared the stark,
obliqueness of obscureness.

This ray of light,
Colored my world,
It might have done the same,
To your world,
All through the night of my darkness.

Time,
Now I feel its ticking,
Its wandering around the depth,
Of my existence.

I soon realized,
that Time became a friend,
when it chose,
A foe when it chose,
A distant untraceable grasp,
when it chose.

Does Time ever choose the way you live,
Or when you die,
Would it conquer your existence,
Or let you slip by,
Feeling its presence,
Wanting its patience,
Waiting for it to slow down,
Or even speed by.

Time,
So real in its pursuit,
To master Man,
To master the world,
To master existence.
