Like the translucent blue sea
The coconut trees reflect
The blues.
The blues are meant to awe
and the glaze-eyed beauty
eyes them with a shimmer.
I wondered how they needed the sun
to show me the beauty of the seas that morning,
As the tides washed up to the sun-warmed sands,
The coconut trees provided shade
So I could stand beneath the fronds
and listen to
The rhythm of the seas.
Splash! The tides were low
The seabeds glistened a warm yellow
shadowed
By the sands beneath, a pebble or two,
and a straying crab eager to swim ashore
scrambles to build its crib.
The blues of the seas captivated my mind
not only in colour but by its vastness
to outshine the world
with its imaginative articulation.
artistry in sheer reflection of the blue skies and seas
